Title: Shattered Wave, Crying Tree

Two installation pieces in the garden of a private residence part of The Arundel Festival

Materials: Mixed media: glass, wire, steel, fishing wire

Untitled-10 copy.jpg

“If trees cried, whilst being ignored or cut down to make way for the concrete world, would the people of the world show them more respect?

If waves shattered like glass as they hit the shore would we worry about the fragile state

of our oceans?

In the 21st century does nature have to do something never seen before, for all people to notice and respect her?” - Stephanie Smart

Visitors comments:

“An extremely thought provoking, yet beautiful piece of art. I want to touch the tears and pierce the surface of the pods which lie below them. Thank you for an image I shall always remember.” - Gae Giciersta

“How about some fireflies in the teardrops? (to be let out after of course) or some tiny lights on wire, solar powered. I think it would look enchanting and even now I can imagine sitting under it all evening. Bliss. Very simple, beautiful garden.” – J Cane
