“The effect…of beautiful objects, or variety of objects, & especially of brilliancy of colours is hardly at all appreciated…People say the effect is on the mind. It is no such thing. The effect is on the body, too. Little as we know about the way in which we are affected by form, colour, by light, we do know this, that they have a physical effect. Variety of form & brilliancy of colour in the objects presented to patients are actual means of recovery.”

Beginners - 2-dimensional creative paper quilling
Stephanie first learnt paper quilling when she was 13. Returning to it as an adult she has adapted the technique to stunning effect, applying it both as a means of surface decoration and decorative structure in her work as a fine artist, producing garments from paper and thread.
Come and learn the basics of paper quilling in this introductory class. Stephanie will show you how to produce a range of shapes which you will then apply to produce a beautiful 2-dimensional design. No previous experience needed. All tools and materials supplied.
Beginners and Advanced- 3-dimensional creative paper quilling
Paper quilling was a popular pastime in the Georgian and Regency periods when it was used to decorate three-dimensional surfaces including pieces of furniture. Come back after the beginners class in order to see what you can achieve by using this intriguing technique to decorate or create three-dimensional surfaces. This class is also open to beginners with ambition.
